Early this year, Japan's third largest automaker Nissan Motor Co. have launched their very popular compact car model Micra in Indian automobile market and now they have come up with it's Diesel variant also. New Nissan Micra Diesel is a excellent combination of newer generation cutting edge technology, exceptional design and advanced features.

This new hatchback model, Nissan Micra Diesel belongs to the B segment and also features a 1461cc, 4 cylinder in-line Diesel engine and will produce a Maximum power of about 64 Bhp @ 4000 rpm and a Maximum torque of about 160 Nm @ 2000 rpm. The engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and claimed fuel efficiency of Nissan Micra Diesel is 23 kmpl.

One of the special feature of this new Nissan Micra Diesel is that it is mounted onto Nissan’s new signature V-platform, the suspension (McPherson Struts) has been designed to be both compact, minimizing intrusion at the rear for maximum trunk space, but not at the expense of the car’s on-road dynamics.

Nissan Micra Diesel is available in 2 variants :

  • Nissan Micra Diesel XV
  • Nissan Micra Diesel XV Premium

Nissan Micra Diesel XV comes with single driver side airbag, manual AC, power windows, music system and black interiors. The XV Premium variant gets automatic climate control system, push button engine start/stop system, alloys, keyless entry, front fog lamps, roof spoiler, rear defogger and biege interiors.

Nissan Micra Diesel is available in 6 Shades: Sunlight Orange, Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black, Pacific Blue and Brick Red. No official announcement has been made about the pricing of Micra Diesel but it is expected to be priced between 6-6.5 lakhs (Mumbai).

Faster, harder, stronger! The Nissan-Motivity 400C Sport Cars Concept by Tryi Yeh. The 400C has the Maglev engine system in each tire, making it quite floaty and speedy. The 400C has a wild, new triangle shape that reduces drag, while the driver seat controls retain their classic build. It is the latest creation of the brilliant visor and stunning feature characteristics from the side of Nissan by Tryi Yeh. But spreading his periphery, the Taiwanese designer has designed a car that takes you straight into the future.

Maglev, or magnetic levitation has been hailed as the future of high speed transportation since long, but the idea is predominantly based on trains. With the Motivity 400-C design proposal, designer Tryi Yeh intends to bring magnetic levitation from train tracks to roads.

A little more info on the Maglev concept: The use of the physical properties of magnetic fields generated by superconducting magnets to cause an object (as a vehicle) to float above a solid surface.
